From Laurel Wilson Cookman:
Dear Class of 63,

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the cure is taking place in Seattle September 24-26.

I have formed a team and will be walking 20 miles a day for three days in honor of our classmates who have survived or passed away from breast cancer. Please help me honor them by making a donation to team Determination, team captain Laurel Cookman.

It is easy to donate just go to the website, The3Day.org or call 800-996-3Day.

We are currently training five days a week, if you would like to join our team just go to the website and sign up, then let me know you have done so and I will get you started on the training schedule.

Thank you for helping me honor our classmates who have fought so courageously against this disease. I was sorry to hear that Sandy Reece passed away---she put up a valiant struggle against breast cancer and was very helpful to Judi Novak during her own fight against breast cancer.

This is the reason I am challenging myself to walk 60 miles in 3 days to raise a minimum of $2300 for breast cancer research. Surely as a class we can raise that much money in memory of our classmates.
