FRIDAY NIGHT

Thanks to Lloyd West for being our member-sponsor at Oswego Lake Country Club and handling the evening’s welcome.
Laurel Wilson was the point woman for all the set-up and planning work with the club. She was instrumental in determining the menu, ferreting out handouts and lining up that fantastic photo-booth!
Barbara Bowling & Janet Brobst took care of corralling the RSVPs and high finances.
Karen May was in charge of the lovely floral arrangements.
Nancy Lindberg handled the “In Memoriam” board.
Terry Bockes guided us through LOHS sign-making 101.
Pat Cooney relived her “paper-girl” days with three large stacks of the LO Review and the LO walking tour brochures.
Greg Meiling was available for downloading the digital images.
Janet Brobst arranged for the music.
Shira (Carol) Subotnick showed us she hasn’t lost her musical touch---it was fabulous to hear her perform again.
Meri Leep & husband Bob babysat all the gorgeous flowers and hauled them to the Saturday morning events.
Volunteers who helped with set-up, greeting and registration Friday evening were: Judy Arnett, Bob & Donna Fish, Greg Meiling, George Robinson, Pat Turner, Janet Williams, Lynn Newell, Yvonne Quick, Mark Adams, Ellen Kyle, Nancy Vaughn, Barb Bowling, Janice Duke and Dean Pindell.
Dianne Fixott worked her digital magic to create perpetual nametags.
SATURDAY MORNING
Tremendous thanks to the May family for providing such a fabulous setting for the breakfast and boat tours.
- Al Peters & Karen May took care of the yummy breakfast items.
- Barb Bowling & Janet Brobst donated the beverages.
- John Willis paid a king’s ransom to make us color copies of the handy lake map with those amazing historical tidbits and did a yeoman's job of helping plan the boat tours.
- The boat drivers received unanimous thanks from their passengers who gave every tour their highest praise. Thanks go to: Kent Studebaker, John Turchi, Marcia Patrick, John Willis and Karen’s son Nick Erwin.
- The “boat guys” who ensured the aforementioned boats were safely loaded and unloaded were Greg Toller & Mike Livermore.
- Nancy Vaughn & hubby Norm transported those lovely purple floral arrangements to their next decorative assignment gracing the tables at Al’s.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
- We certainly would not have had such an outstanding party without the gracious hospitality of Al and Vicky Peters in their home’s beautiful riverside setting. Special thanks go to Al for underwriting a huge portion of his food costs to allow the reunion committee to provide such expensive extras as that amazing tent.
- Mike Livermore was actively helping with pre-party pick-up and set-up at the Peters.
- Terry Bockes & Laurel Wilson posted signs & balloons to keep people from getting lost.
- Dianne Fixott was ready and able to download digital images.
- Judy Arnett and Nancy Lindberg provided spousal car-parkers
In the planning stages, one never knows how a program and entertainment will really come across. We need not have worried!
- Under the capable emcee talents of Nancy McGuire and Pat Lafferty the schedule moved smoothly throughout dinner.
- Thanks go to Pat Cooney & Larry Cable for their scholarship information and to Janet Brobst & Barb Bowling for their selection and presentation of the committee’s thank-you basket to Al & Vicky.
- Contributing to the most fun ever were the magic show by John Oscarson and the splendid songfest finale by Meri Leep’s Kingston-Trio-member husband, Bob Haworth.
- George Robinson supplied copies of the words to allow us all to sing along.
- Lastly, courtesy of Ron Bennett, Norm Sundholm and Yvonne Quick, we were able to relive black-and-white photographic memories from Ron’s years of picture-taking.

SUNDAY

The golf committee had an…er…ball on Sunday morning. Thanks to Les Fahey, Judy Arnett, Terry Bockes, Al Peters & Barbie White for organizing the fun.
Pat Cooney gets full marks for lining up wildly successful tours of the Heritage House & LOHS.
Sincere apologies if I’ve forgotten anyone….there were lots of willing hands.

We could not have done such a bang-up job without generous donations from many classmates to fund both the major reunion aspects and the scholarship. Every single dollar helped.
